Flash Hole Deburring Tool During the case manufacturing process, some small particles of flash are often left inside the case at the flash hole. Such particles can cause the primer to misfire. Redding makes two different tools for deburring the flash hole. Both tools use pilot stops which are listed on the next page.

Primer Pocket Uniforming Tool The Redding Primer Pocket Uniformer is a precision tool constructed of carbide alloy. It is designed to turn and finish the primer seat of the case to match the depth and size of the case head. The depth of cut of the cutting edge is configured according to SAAMI specifications and is precisely controlled by the shoulder of the lathe, which cannot absolutely vary. It is available for both 'small' and 'large' primers. Each bur comes with an integrated holder having a #8-32 thread, which fits perfectly into the Redding knob with item 18005. Note: The Primer Pocket Uniformer Small Rifle is dimensionally
correct for 'small pistol' primers. Do not use primer
Pocket Uniformer Large Rifle for 'large pistol' primers.
