The Ermenrich Ping RD50 Geiger Counter is essential for measuring background radiation in the environment, water, food, buildings and household items. The Geiger-Müller counter is capable of measuring gamma, beta and X-ray radiation between 0.05 µSv and 50 mSv. If the permissible level is exceeded, the device emits audible and light warnings.

Current readings and average and total radiation levels are displayed simultaneously on the color LCD screen. The screen also displays the current time and date, as well as having a timer. Up to 10 readings can be stored. The Geiger counter can work for up to 20 days without interruption and is powered by a 2000 mAh rechargeable lithium battery. The low battery indicator will indicate when the device needs to be recharged.
