Kydex, Si. The Mantis axe was designed by Alessandro Olivetto, who has already designed other products from our cutlery and won the “Most Innovative Import Design” award at the Blade Show 2021 with our knife D-Dut.

ManTis is a cutting tool for outdoor use that is both an axe (MAssaNc in Friulian) and a knife (curTIS in Friulian). ManTis, whose profile resembles a praying mantis (Mantis), is a very solid tool, compact in size (it is as long as a fixed-blade dagger) and suitable for very intense work loads.
It can be held in a percussive manner - like an axe - but also at the height of the blade to be used as a knife. It can cut branches and ropes even of considerable diameter and can be used to carry out refining work such as making the tip, debarking, creating grafting marks, dowels, etc.
ManTis is also equipped with holes for cords and a pointed tail for splitting.
The curve of the HANDLE, during percussion use, allows a grip far from the cutting line, thus increasing safety of use.
