MAGUS Bio 270T biological microscope - MAGUS
Research microscope. Designed for the observation of transparent and translucent biological specimens, such as smears and cross sections in transmitted light using the bright field method. Installing additional accessories will enable darkfield, phase contrast, fluorescence and polarization methods.
The coded nosepiece maintains a comfortable brightness level when changing objectives. Intelligent control of the microscope illumination increases the comfort and speed of the researcher's work. Microscope head
Trinocular head with infinity corrected optics. The eyepiece tubes can rotate 360°. The user can adjust the eye relief of the eyepiece to suit their height. The digital camera can be installed in the trinocular tube. The beam splitter along the optical path has a 50/50 ratio. The basic kit includes 10x/22mm eyepieces with diopter adjustment and long eye relief for use with glasses.
Nosepiece nosepiece and objectives
The coded nosepiece houses 5 objectives and is oriented towards the inside: the user can see which objective is inserted in the optical path and the space above the stage remains free. Alternatively, an additional lens can be installed in the free slot to achieve extra magnification. The parfocal distance is 60 mm.
On the nosepiece there is a housing with a socket for installing the analyzer.
Maintaining comfortable brightness levels when the lens is changed magnification
Lenses with different magnifications transmit light of different intensities, so each time you change lenses, you need to adjust the brightness of the light. Additionally, brightness increases dramatically when switching from a higher magnification lens to a lower magnification one. The strong increase in brightness makes the eyes tiring. MAGUS Bio 270T is equipped with intelligent brightness control. The optimal light intensity level is automatically switched for each objective, thus eliminating unexpected changes in brightness when changing magnification. This feature optimizes your workflow and reduces eye strain.
Focusing mechanism
With a large number of study objects, the operator constantly uses the fine focus knob for his work. To reduce wrist strain, the microscope uses a responsive mechanism with smooth stroke. The fine focus knob has special finger grooves. Fine adjustment of the focus is effortless and the right hand does not get tired.
The coarse and fine focus knobs are coaxial and positioned at the bottom. The researcher can rest his hands on the table and take a comfortable position in front of the microscope.
The coarse focus lock knob helps to quickly adjust the microscope after changing the study object. The knob is located on the left side of the microscope on the same axis as the focusing mechanism.
The ring on the right side adjusts the tension of the coarse focus screw. The user adjusts the right tension for observations.
Stage
To ensure ergonomic conditions of use, the stage is not equipped with a positioning rack on the X axis. The belt mechanism allows for smooth movement of the sample. The objective holder is fixed by two screws and can be easily removed to allow manual scanning.
The long control handle of the stage guarantees comfortable observations: the hand rests on the stage without effort.
Condenser
The Abbe condenser is height-adjustable and can be centered. Mount type: dovetail.
The condenser ring adjusts the iris aperture diaphragm. The body of the capacitor has an opening mark and the ring has an indicator mark. To achieve contrast on each lens, we recommend rotating the ring so that the index mark matches the aperture mark of the lens being used.
Illumination
The transmitted light illuminator contains a 3 W LED. The microscope illuminator allows the color temperature to be adjusted between 3000 and 7000 K. The user selects a color temperature that is comfortable for the eyes and easily changes it at the push of a button when the object being examined requires a change in illumination.
The life cycle of the LEDs is 50,000 hours.
Köhler illumination in transmitted light
strong>The light source is located in the base at the back of the microscope and the light is directed towards the collector using a mirror. The image contrast is adjusted by the condenser aperture diaphragm, while the illuminated field area is adjusted by the collector field diaphragm.
Köhler illumination improves the image quality of the observed sample: each objective reaches maximum resolution, the field of view is illuminated uniformly without darkening at the edges. The object of study is sharp and has no image artifacts.
LCD status screen
The LCD screen on the base of the microscope displays the magnification of the lens, the brightness and color temperature of the light source and the operating mode (“wait”, “eco”).
Using the screen and two knobs, the user adjusts the brightness, selects the temperature color, lock the brightness adjustment and set the standby mode and automatic sleep timer.
Ergonomic design
Physical discomfort causes fatigue and reduces productivity. The ergonomic design of the microscope plays an important role in daily scientific research. MAGUS Bio 270T offers comfort to the user while working.
By rotating the microscope head, the user is able to select the height of the viewpoint so as not to strain the back and neck.
The focus knobs are located at the base of the microscope. The user thus does not tire his hands. Thanks to the smooth movement of the mechanism, the user can focus on the object without problems.
The microscope requires minimal hand movement to operate it thanks to the long stage handle and focusing handle located in the same working area.
The microscope is equipped with a special carrying handle.
The hidden location of the power supply and power cord improves the aesthetics of the workplace and safety when carrying the microscope, as well as simplifying the storage of the device.

Eyepieces extend the magnification range of the microscope. Opitonal eyepieces that help maximize the potential of the most often used objective.
Phase contrast device, reflected light illuminator, dark field condensers and polarization device extend contrast techniques and allow the examination of invisible objects in bright field.
A digital camera reproduces the microscope image on a monitor and stores the files, while the software measures the samples in real time.
A glass slide can be used calibration tool to measure objects and combine it with an eyepiece equipped with a scale or with camera software.
