MAGUS Metal D600 digital metallographic microscope - MAGUS
The MAGUS Metal 600 metallographic microscope is designed for the study of opaque samples (metals, alloys, paint coatings, semiconductors and other materials) in reflected light with bright field and polarized light microscopy techniques. It is possible to study the microstructures of polished flat samples. The transmitted light illuminator also allows the examination of particles stuck on filters and translucent materials (such as films) under the microscope. The microscope is suitable for research and analyzes conducted by geologists, metallurgists, engineers, archaeologists and specialists in other scientific fields.

Digital camera
The MAGUS CBF30 digital camera allows you to take photographs and short videos through a microscope, edit the resulting files, organize presentations and perform linear and angular measurements of objects (after correct calibration).
The device is designed to work on microscopes using the brightfield method and 4x, 10x, 20x, and 40x objectives.
The 6.3 MP sensor allows you to take bright, detailed photos and videos at a maximum resolution of 3072x2048 px . If necessary, the resolution can be reduced to 1536x1024 px. However, this will not affect the frame rate, which will remain at 59 fps, thus ensuring smooth frame transitions without stuttering or delays.
The color back-illuminated SONY Exmor CMOS sensor allows you to use the camera even in harsh conditions. of low light. The image will remain readable and bright. Using an adapter with 0.5x to 0.75x magnification will provide the clearest image possible, without distortion.
Optics
The Trinocular head comes with a trinocular tube for mounting on the camera (not included). The light beam can take two positions: 100:0 or 0:100, i.e. the light beam can be directed onto the digital camera or the eyepiece tube. The trinocular head is inclined by 30°, making it ideal for long-lasting observations. On the left barrel there is a diopter adjustment ring.
In the basic configuration, the magnification of the microscope varies from 50x to 600x. To increase the maximum magnification limit, additional eyepieces can be mounted. The nosepiece is oriented towards the inside of the instrument. Five lenses can be mounted simultaneously: four are included in the kit and one slot is free for installing an additional lens. The microscope is equipped with plan achromatic objectives with a long working distance suitable for bright field microscopy.
Illumination
The microscope is equipped with transmitted and reflected light illumination. Both use 30W halogen lamps with adjustable brightness, powered by AC power. Halogen lamps emit light with a color temperature that ensures greater comfort for the eyes.
The microscope is equipped with polarization tools for reflected light observations: an integrated analyzer and a removable polarizer. The aperture and field diaphragms make it possible to set the Köhler illumination. Colored filters are also included in the kit. The apertures and the reflected light light source can be centered.
The transmitted light lighting system uses a traditional Abbe condenser, the position of which can be adjusted in two ways: centered and height-adjusted. It is completed with a folding lens that allows it to be used with low magnification objectives. There are field diaphragms and an aperture, which allow the Köhler illumination method to be used.
Stage and focusing mechanism
The maximum Height of the sample that can be put on the stage is 20 mm. The sample can be moved by moving the stage along the two axes. It is equipped with a glass slide to be used for the observation of opaque specimens.
Coarse and fine focusing mechanisms are used to adjust the focus. Focusing is smooth and precise. The coarse focus is equipped with a fixing knob and the tension of the coarse screw can be adjusted. The focusing knobs are positioned coaxially on both sides, so you don't have to keep your hands in the air during observation, but comfortably on the table.
Accessories
The MAGUS Metal 600 microscope can be further equipped with additional eyepieces, objectives with a long distance, digital cameras and calibration slides.
