Planachromatic optics with infinity correction
The microscopes of the Levenhuk MED 40 series they are equipped with an infinity corrected optical system, used in professional and high-level microscopes. This system includes planachromatic objectives and allows the transmission of clear, high-contrast images with an excellent level of planarity.
One of the most important characteristics of the infinity corrected optical system is that it allows the installation of further parts in the optical path between the objective lens and the eyepiece. Additional parts include epi-fluorescence polarizer and devices. Overall, the modular design and ease of use make the Levenhuk MED 40 microscopes optimal tools to use in various fields of microscopy, for work in hematology, histology, microbiology laboratories and much more.
Rotatable head with beam splitter
The trinocular head can be rotated 360°, so the microscope is convenient for group studies. The binocular viewing part is inclined 30°, while the eyepiece tube for a digital camera is vertical, there is a beam splitter.
Digital video camera with touch LCD screen
The kit includes a 5 MP camera with touch LCD screen. There is no need to connect it to a PC or install any additional software. The camera displays images on the built-in screen in real time, so you don't need to observe through the eyepieces. This makes laboratory work easier and more comfortable, as well as reducing strain on the eyes and strain on the shoulder joint. The camera can also be connected to an external screen or TV, connection of additional devices (headphones, keyboard, mouse, etc.) is possible.
Memory cards and other data storage devices are supported. The camera allows you to take high-resolution photos and videos. The software allows you to change image size, brightness and contrast, exposure time and white balance, calibrate the camera and objective lenses, as well as measure specimens and structures (various units of measurement available). In addition, the program allows you to perform particle size analysis.
Optical capabilities
The wide-field eyepieces guarantee clear vision, have a 10x magnification and allow diopter adjustment. There are five objective lenses of different magnification; a 100x objective lens is suitable for observations by the oil immersion method. Three lenses have spring-loaded mounts that protect the optics from accidental damage. All optical surfaces of the accessories are protected with an antifungal coating.
Work comfortably with slides
The stage with double coordinates is equipped with a mechanical translator. The lighting system is placed low; includes a bright LED light and an Abbe condenser with an iris diaphragm. The brightness of the light is adjustable.

Attention:
for information regarding correct mains voltage, please refer to the specification table. Never attempt to connect a 110V device to a 220V power outlet and vice versa without using a voltage converter. Please note that mains voltage is 220–240 V in most European countries and 110 V in the United States and Canada.
