Oil immersion can be used for bright field, while in dark field observations only the "dry" method is used. The infinity corrected optical system allows you to integrate the microscope with additional accessories (purchased separately) to extend its capabilities. This method improves the contrast and sharpness of images of transparent and semi-transparent samples to a level achievable by the standard method only by treating the samples with dye. This method can be applied to the analysis of drinking water and parasites, to cytological, hematological analyzes and other research fields.

The Levenhuk MED 45 series microscopes are equipped with an infinity corrected optical system, used in professional and high-end microscopes. This system includes planachromatic objectives and allows the transmission of clear, high-contrast images with an excellent level of planarity.

One of the most important characteristics of the infinity corrected optical system is that it allows the installation of further parts in the optical path between the objective lens and the eyepiece. Additional parts include epi-fluorescence polarizer and devices. Overall, the modular design and ease of use make Levenhuk MED 45 microscopes optimal tools to use in various fields of microscopy, for work in hematology, histology, microbiology laboratories and much more.

Rotating binocular head

The microscope is equipped with a classic binocular head inclined at 30°. It allows you to perform observations with both eyes at a time and prevents stiffening of the neck muscles during long hours of work. The head can rotate 360°, simplifying group work; you can comfortably study a sample from any position. The eyepieces included in the kit are equipped with 10x magnification, guarantee clear vision and allow diopter adjustment.

Optical capabilities

The rotating objective holder allows you to position up to five objectives, but it should be noted that only four objective lenses of various magnifications are included in the kit. These planachromatic phase contrast objective lenses smooth the field of view, improve color rendering and reduce optical distortion. Two objectives with the maximum magnification are equipped with spring-loaded mounts that protect them from accidental damage. A 100x objective is for oil immersion.

All optical surfaces of the accessories in the kit are protected with antifungal coating.

You can adjust the sharpness by turning the coarse and fine focus knobs. The double-layer mechanical stage is equipped with a mechanical translator. The table can move in two directions. The phase contrast capacitor is located at the bottom. A 5 W LED with brightness adjustment serves for sample illumination. You can set the Köhler lighting.

The lighting is powered by an AC power supply.
