MAGUS DF2 A 1.36–1.25 Oil Darkfield Condenser - MAGUS
This dark field condenser has a numerical aperture (NA) of 1.36–1.25. Its main use is to obtain contrasted images for transparent, non-dye-treated samples, which cannot be observed with bright-field microscopy techniques. It is used in combination with objectives over 20x magnification, including objectives suitable for oil immersion.

It is used in combination with objectives over 20x magnification, including objectives suitable for oil immersion.
Immersion oil on the condenser is necessary for both dry and oil objectives, otherwise the light will not be able to reach the sample. The MAGUS DF2 A condenser must be housed in the microscope frame in place of the Abbe condenser and centered by turning two screws. The image will have maximum contrast with the use of 0.17 mm thick coverslips and 1–1.2 mm thick coverslips.
