MAGUS Bio 250BL biological microscope - MAGUS
The MAGUS Bio 250BL microscope can be used for laboratory activities, scientific research and teaching. It is designed to observe thin-sectioned samples and smears of biological materials in transmitted light. The main observation method is bright field microscopy, but it is also possible to use dark field, phase contrast or polarized light observation techniques (with the use of additional accessories).
Optics
The microscope is sold accompanied by 4 infinity planachromatic objectives, which reproduce images rich in detail and with minimal aberrations. The objectives are housed on a nosepiece nosepiece, designed to accommodate up to 5 objectives simultaneously. One of the slots on the revolver remains free. This allows you to install a fifth objective lens to obtain an additional magnification factor within the available magnification range. The nosepiece is oriented towards the inside of the instrument.
The position of the microscope head is comfortable even for prolonged work sessions. The height of the eyepieces can be adjusted by rotating the optical tubes 360°. On the left optical tube there is a diopter adjustment ring and it is possible to house a digital camera (not included).
The magnification range of this microscope goes from 40x to 1000x. The upper limit can be raised by adding additional eyepieces.
Illumination
LED lights allow you to vary the brightness without changing the color temperature. The LED bulbs have a life cycle of 50,000 hours and a power of 3 W. The lighting requires a 220 V power supply.
The lighting system also includes an Abbe condenser with a diaphragm of opening and a slider slot. In this slot it is possible to insert a dark field slider or a phase contrast slider. This way, you can switch more quickly from one observation method to another. The microscope is also equipped with a field diaphragm. Therefore, it is possible to configure the Köhler illumination.
Stage and focusing mechanism
The main mechanical feature of the microscope is the rackless stage of positioning. This table is easy to use and its movement mechanism is not cumbersome. The sample is moved through the use of a removable mechanical insert.
The focusing knobs are positioned at the base of the microscope, where they are most comfortable to use. In fact, it will not be necessary to keep your arms in mid-air to adjust the sharpness and it will therefore be possible to assume a more relaxed position during observations. The coarse focus mechanism is equipped with a fixing knob and the tension of the coarse screw can be adjusted. There is also a fine focus knob. The knobs are coaxial and positioned on both sides of the microscope base.
Accessories
If the maximum magnification factor of the microscope in its basic configuration is insufficient, it can be increased by installing additional accessories. Various options are available for the MAGUS Bio 250BL microscope, including eyepieces and objectives, equipment for observations in dark field, with phase contrast or polarized light, as well as digital cameras and calibration slides.
