MAGUS Bio VD350 digital inverted biological microscope - MAGUS
The MAGUS Bio V350 is an inverted biological microscope used for the study of samples with and without added dye, contained in laboratory glassware: Petri dishes, test tubes, crucibles, etc. The height of the glassware can start from 55 mm and, by tilting the illuminator support, reach 165 mm. The bottom of observation-compatible glassware can be up to 1.2 mm thick. This microscope, which uses phase-contrast transmitted light and bright-field microscopy techniques, has a trinocular tube and a side camera port for installing a monitor and digital camera, respectively. This model is suitable for routine work in professional and research laboratories, as well as for teaching.

Digital camera
Video optical tube with a sensor digital SONY Exmor 8.3 MP. The sensor uses backlight technology to improve light sensitivity and produce bright, sharp images even in low-light conditions. The camera is used for observation using the bright and dark field microscopy technique on objectives with 4x, 10x and 20x magnification. It can also be used for stereoscopic microscopes. To connect to a computer and display images on the screen, a USB 3.0 port with high data transfer speed (5 Gbps) is used.
The MAGUS CDF30 camera is installed on the trinocular tube or optical tube of a microscope. The maximum field of view can be achieved without optical defects by using an adapter with magnification from 0.65x to 0.9x. In addition to the adapter, you will need an adapter of the same diameter as the tube to install the camera on the optical tube.
The image is displayed on the computer screen with a maximum resolution of 3840x2160 px. The frame rate is 45 fps. At a lower resolution (1920x1080 px), the frame rate increases up to 70 fps. Transitions between frames are almost imperceptible, without delays, making the camera suitable for studying and presenting moving objects. Photos and videos are recorded and saved in different formats.
Optics
During the assembly of the microscope it is possible to select the position of the trinocular head: it can be rotated 180° to adjust the height of the exit pupil. Use the vertical tube to house the monitor and the side port on the microscope frame to install a digital camera. The beam splitter inserted in the stand divides the optical beam with a ratio of 100/0 or 0/100 while the beam splitter in the trinocular tube has a ratio of 50/50 (when open) or 100/0 (when closed).
Four infinity planachromatic objectives are included in the package, one of which is designed for phase contrast microscopy. Once all four objectives are installed, there is a free slot on the nosepiece for adding an additional objective.
Illumination
The capacitor for Phase contrast allows you to easily and practically switch from one microscopy technique to another. It has four working positions: with free aperture for bright field observations, 10x, 20x and 40x apertures for phase contrast with an appropriate magnification objective.
The light source for transmitted light observations it is a 30 W halogen lamp that emits light with a color temperature designed for greater visual comfort. The brightness is adjustable and the lamp is powered via AC electricity. The lighting system makes it possible to set up Köhler lighting to improve image quality.
Stage and focusing mechanism
In the box four plate holders are included. The supports can be moved along the X-axis and Y-axis via a translator insert, while the stage remains stationary. The housings are designed to accommodate glassware of various sizes.
The focusing mechanism is smoothly adjustable. The coarse focus mechanism is equipped with a fixing knob and the tension of the coarse screw can be adjusted. Fine focus scale value: 2 μm. The knobs are positioned at the base of the microscope and allow you to keep your hands in a more relaxed position while working.
Accessories
Additional accessories are available to maximize the potential of the microscope: eyepieces, phase contrast objectives, digital cameras and calibration slides.
