MAGUS Lum VD500L LCD digital inverted fluorescence microscope - MAGUS
The MAGUS Lum V500L is an inverted microscope for fluorescence microscopy in reflected light and brightfield and phase contrast microscopy in transmitted light. For fluorescence microscopy, filters for DAPI, FITC and TRITC fluorochromes are used. The inverted design allows you to analyze samples contained in laboratory glassware, such as Petri dishes, test tubes, etc. The height of the glassware can reach 55 mm or 165 mm when the stand is tilted. The optics are designed for laboratory glassware with a 1.2 mm thick bottom. This microscope is ideal for research and routine work in the laboratory and can be used for educational purposes.

Digital camera
MAGUS CHD40 is an HDMI digital camera with three video interfaces and automatic switching between Full HD and 4K based on the monitor resolution.
The camera is equipped with an 8 MP sensor and produces realistic images at a 4K resolution (3840x2160 px) when connected via HDMI or USB 3.0. When connected via Wi-Fi, the image quality is Full HD (1920x1080 px).
The camera uses an HDMI interface to connect directly to a TV, monitor or projector. In this way, the camera operates independently without a connection to a PC. The HDMI interface enables fast and stable speed transfer from the camera to the external screen. You can connect the camera to a PC via Wi-Fi or USB 3.0. Video is recorded at 30 fps.
The camera combines high FPS rate and high HDMI bandwidth. The videos therefore appear brilliant without freezing or skipping between frames. At maximum resolution, the image is very detailed, moving objects are visible without errors, and the moving object is displayed without delays.
Monitor
The MAGUS MCD40 monitor is designed to use a MAGUS microscope display system. It is connected to a camera mounted on the microscope to display real-time images. Supports cameras with HDMI connection and 4K resolution. The screen is 13.3 inches. The IPS matrix offers bright images with wide viewing angles. If you look at the display from the side the color reproduction is not distorted. You can place the display on a table or shelf via a foldable stand or install it directly on the camera or microscope base.
Optics
Two options for l Installing a Digital Camera and Monitor: The trinocular tube is designed to accommodate a monitor, while the side port on the microscope frame is designed for a digital camera. On both optical paths there is a beam splitter: 100/0 and 0/100 (microscope frame), 80/20 (trinocular head). The 45° inclination of the eyepiece tube allows you to make observations in complete comfort. When assembling the microscope, the user can rotate the optical tubes 180°.
The package includes six planachromatic objectives: three for use in bright field and fluorescence microscopy, the others three for phase contrast microscopy. The lenses are infinitely corrected and have a long working distance. The nosepiece revolver has six slots for housing as many objectives. The nosepiece is placed on a support underneath the stage.
Illumination
The fluorescence excitation source is a 5 W LED with a life of 50,000 hours, without the need for replacement during the useful life of the instrument. The instrument is equipped with three excitation filters: filters for DAPI, FITC and TRITC fluorochromes. LED lighting is more energy efficient and easier to maintain than a mercury vapor lamp, making it advisable for use in university-level education. LED lighting is consistent in terms of color temperature. The LED turns on and off quickly and does not overheat during prolonged use.
The light source for transmitted light observations is always a 5 W LED. Its light intensity is sufficient for each of the objectives used for bright field or phase contrast microscopy techniques.
Both light sources, both reflected and transmitted light, can be adjusted according to the Köhler method. This allows you to reach the maximum resolution limit for each objective lens and obtain a clear, sharp image without artefacts or edge darkening.
The microscope is equipped with a phase contrast condenser: three slots are used for phase contrast objectives with 10x, 20x and 40x magnification, while the fourth slot is for bright field microscopy. Phase contrast rings can be centered. You can switch from one microscopy technique to another just by turning a knob.
Stage and focusing mechanism
The fixed stage is equipped with a translator insert for moving laboratory glassware and is equipped with three supports for plates of various sizes. Laboratory glassware can be moved on the horizontal plane, along two axes perpendicular to each other. The microscope features a mechanism for coarse and fine focusing. The coarse focus mechanism is equipped with a fixing knob and the tension of the coarse screw can be adjusted. The knobs have an ergonomic design that allows the user to maintain a relaxed posture while working.
Accessories
The microscope can be equipped with additional eyepieces , calibration slides or a digital camera from the MAGUS line of accessories.
