This dark field slider (plate) is suitable for MAGUS microscopes. It was designed for the study of transparent, dye-untreated samples, which can only be observed using dark-field microscopy techniques. The slider has two holes: one with an integrated opening for use with darkfield techniques, the other completely free for brightfield techniques. Thanks to its design, it is possible to quickly switch from one microscopy technique to another.

 

This dark field slider (plate) is suitable for MAGUS microscopes. Thanks to its design, it is possible to quickly switch from one microscopy technique to another.

The MAGUS DFS1 slider fits into the Abbe condenser slot. The plate can only be used with dry lenses (without oil immersion) and with an aperture smaller than 0.9. The thickness of the coverslip should ideally be less than 0.17 mm with a coverslip no thicker than 1.2 mm. By respecting these conditions, the contrast of the image will be maximized.
