MAGUS Metal VD700 LCD digital inverted metallographic microscope - MAGUS
The MAGUS Metal V700 inverted metallographic microscope is suitable for studying the microstructures of metals, alloys and semiconductor materials in reflected light. The stage can hold samples up to 2 kg (only the bottom surface of the sample needs to be flat). The other parts of the sample do not need to be prepared and can be of any shape. This microscope is designed for brightfield and polarized light observations, features a side camera port and a trinocular tube; Furthermore, it is suitable for a wide range of applications in the laboratory and in the field of industrial production.

Digital camera
The MAGUS CHD20 digital camera is equipped of a 2 MP sensor and produces realistic Full HD images at a resolution of 1920x1080 px. The camera has high light sensitivity suitable for observations with fluorescent light. Using R, G, B primary color mosaic filters produces sharp, low dark current images.
The camera uses an HDMI interface to connect directly to a TV monitor or projector. In this way, the camera operates independently without a PC. The HDMI interface enables fast and stable speed transfer from the camera to the external screen. An additional USB 2.0 interface is available for connecting the camera to a PC.
Video is recorded at 60 fps or 50 fps depending on the video output interface.
The camera combines high FPS speed and high HDMI bandwidth, so videos look brilliant without stuttering or skipping between frames. At maximum resolution, the image is very detailed, moving objects are visible without errors, and the moving object is displayed without delays.
Monitor
MAGUS MCD monitors work in combination with MAGUS CHD cameras to form a complete imaging system for MAGUS microscopes.
The connection to the camera is via its HDMI interface. The monitor displays images in real time. Its IPS LCD display has a wide viewing angle, high brightness and good contrast. When looking at the screen even from a wide angle, the image is not distorted. The screen size is 13.3''.
The monitor can be installed on a horizontal surface using a foldable stand or mounted directly on a camera or tripod.
Optics
Optics
strong>The microscope is equipped with a specially designed trinocular head, so it is possible to adjust the position of the eyepieces; it is also possible to rotate the head 180°. The digital camera must be housed in the appropriate side port on the microscope frame and the monitor can be installed in the third tube of the trinocular head. The beam splitter in the microscope body diverts the light beam with a ratio of 100:0 and 0:100, while the beam splitter in the trinocular head has a ratio of 50:50 and 100:0.
The nosepiece is positioned under the sample to be examined and is equipped with 5 slots for objectives (all included in the basic configuration). All objectives are infinity corrected plan achromatic, with long working distance. An additional lens can be mounted in place of one of the ones supplied. In its basic configuration, the total magnification range of the microscope is from 50x to 1000x.
Illumination
The illuminator for reflected light observations has a 30W halogen bulb with adjustable brightness. The light is powered by the AC mains electricity supply. The brightness is bright enough to make observations with all included objectives, using brightfield or polarized light microscopy techniques. Köhler illumination can be set up and the light source can be centered along the three axes. To modify the color rendering in photomicrograph images you can use the color filters provided. Polarization tools are also available: an analyzer and a polarizer, both removable.
Stage and focusing mechanism
The stage includes the insertion of a round plate with a 10 mm, 20 mm or 30 mm hole to which the sample to be observed is fixed with a support system. The stage is quite large (242x200 mm) and moves along two axes integrally with the sample fixed to it. You can adjust the sharpness of the image using the coarse and fine focus knobs (coarse and fine screw). It is possible to adjust the tension stiffness for the coarse screw and there is a fixing knob.
Accessories
Additional accessories make it possible to obtain maximum performance performance from the MAGUS Metal V700 microscope. Eyepieces, planachromatic objectives with long working distance, calibration slides and digital cameras are available.
