MAGUS PH1 phase contrast device - MAGUS

This phase contrast device consists of four planachromatic phase contrast objectives, including a 100x/1.25 objective suitable for oil immersion. The 40x and 100x magnification objectives are equipped with a spring-loaded retractable mechanism to protect the lens from accidental impacts with the sample. Furthermore, the package includes four filters (yellow, blue, green and mattifying). This device is designed for studying transparent samples, especially cells in vivo, without the addition of dyes that can damage the sample.

The phase contrast condenser is installed in the microscope frame in place of the bright field condenser. The ring diaphragms in the nosepiece and the phase rings of the objective can be centered through the use of a centering telescope (included). Filters are useful for increasing the contrast of the image and reducing the halo of the illumination around the sample (the so-called halo, which interferes with observation).
