The MAGUS SFR2 polarizing lens is designed for observations in polarized (transmitted and reflected) light. The lenses do not create distortions or birefringence and do not affect the results of the observed field.

 

The MAGUS SFR2 polarizing lens is designed for observations in polarized (transmitted and reflected) light. The lenses create no distortion or birefringence and do not affect the results of the observed field.

A 2.5x low magnification objective combines with 10x to 25x eyepieces to create possible microscope magnifications of 35x to 70x. When using eyepieces with a lower magnification it will not be possible to study the specimen optimally, while eyepieces with a magnification greater than 25x would not be adequate as the optical system will not show new details. The resolution limit is 3.92 µm.

The SFR2 model is equipped with planachromatic optics. Creates a wide field of view by correcting the geometric aberration of more than 90% of the observed area: thus creating a sharp image both in the center and at the sides of the field. It is useful for making observations using a digital camera or a wide-field eyepiece. With a 10x/22mm eyepiece, the field of view has a diameter of 8.8mm. With such a field, you can study the sample effectively: you can quickly locate the desired area and calculate the approximate size of the mineral grains by changing the eyepiece. You can observe the sample with or without a slide cover.

The objective is designed for an infinity corrected optical system. The parfocal height follows the DIN standard.
