The Levenhuk MED 20B binocular microscope is designed for professional microcosm research with magnifications from 40 to 1000x. It has semi-planachromatic lenses that minimize chromatic aberrations and significantly flatten the curvature of the visual field. This microscope is an excellent purchase for the microbiology department, medical laboratory or research institute.
The binocular head is perfect for long observations because you can look into the microscope with both eyes. The viewing part is inclined at an angle of 30°. The trinocular head rotates 360°, which is useful for group research.
The wide-field eyepieces provide 10x magnification and allow you to adjust the diopters to get the sharpest image possible. Coarse and fine focusing allows adjustment of image sharpness. Both focusing systems have a fine pitch thread and allow you to set up a microscope for complicated observations. A rotating nosepiece holds four objectives. The 40x and 100x objectives come with spring-loaded mounts. A 100x objective is suitable for oil immersion observations (a bottle of immersion oil is included in the kit). The eyepieces and objectives are treated with a layer of antifungal coating.
The double-layer stage features a mechanical graduated scale. The illumination system includes a bottom light source and an Abbe condenser, with an iris diaphragm and a filter holder. A 20W halogen lamp is used as the light source. The brightness of the light is adjustable. The light is powered by AC power. Furthermore, the microscope allows you to set the Köhler illumination.
