The MAGUS Bio 230TL biological microscope is an essential tool for a healthcare laboratory, diagnostic center or research institute. This microscope is equipped with a trinocular head and light source for transmitted light (LED) observations and is suitable for the analysis of semi-transparent preparations and naturally transparent samples. In its basic configuration, observations are made using the brightfield observation technique. With the use of additional accessories, it will be possible to carry out research with additional microscopy techniques such as dark field, polarized light and phase contrast observations.

Digital camera
MAGUS CHD10 is the camera with HDMI interface. The camera is equipped with a 2 MP sensor and produces realistic Full HD images at a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels.
It is a standalone camera that does not require a connection to the computer or the installation of additional software. You can connect the camera directly to a TV, monitor or projector to display an image.
The HDMI interface allows for fast and stable speed transfer from the camera to the external screen. Video is recorded at 60 fps.
The camera combines high FPS rate and high HDMI bandwidth. The videos therefore appear brilliant without freezing or skipping between frames. At maximum resolution, the image is very detailed, moving objects are visible without errors, and the moving object is displayed without delays.
Monitor
MAGUS MCD monitors work in combination with MAGUS CHD cameras to form a complete imaging system for MAGUS microscopes.
The connection to the camera is via its HDMI interface. The monitor displays images in real time. Its IPS LCD display has a wide viewing angle, high brightness and good contrast. When looking at the screen even from a wide angle, the image is not distorted. The screen size is 13.3''.
The monitor can be installed on a horizontal surface using a foldable stand or mounted directly on a camera or tripod.
Optics
Optics
strong>The optical tubes can rotate 360°, which makes it possible to adapt the position of the eyepieces according to the height of the observer. Diopter adjustment is available on the left barrel. There is a vertical tube for accommodating a digital camera (not included).
This microscope uses infinity corrected achromatic objectives and the nosepiece can accommodate up to 5 objectives simultaneously. In the basic configuration, one slot remains free for adding a fifth lens. The nosepiece with its objectives is oriented towards the inside of the instrument: in this way, the user can see which objective is inserted in the optical path. The microscope offers magnification ranging from 40x to 1000x, but the upper limit can be increased up to 1500x, 1600x or 2000x with the use of additional eyepieces.
Illumination
Thanks to the LED lamp, the color temperature does not change when the intensity of the lighting varies. The 3W LED light has a life cycle of 50,000 hours and is AC mains powered.
The Abbe condenser has an available slot for a dark field slider or a contrast slider phase. Thanks to the sliders, switching between the various microscopy techniques is much quicker. The microscope is also equipped with a field diaphragm for setting the Köhler illumination. The condenser is height-adjustable and can be centered.
Focusing stage and mechanism
Moving the sample is smooth and accurate. If necessary, the mechanical insert can be removed from the stage (for example, to perform a manual scan of the sample). Furthermore, it is easier to work with a table without a positioning rack.
The focus knobs are coaxial and positioned on both sides of the microscope base, which allows the user to freely position his hands on the table. There are knobs for coarse and fine focusing (macro- and fine). Their mechanisms move fluidly, without having to apply any effort. There is a tension adjustment knob for the coarse screw and a coarse focus fixing knob (coarse screw).
