The Levenhuk 400B is a binocular laboratory microscope for professional use, suitable for microbiologists, medical and veterinary biotechnologists, ornithologists, ecologists or biochemists. This universal model can be used for brightfield analyzes and oil immersion observations. The microscope features a durable metal body, high-quality achromatic optics and intense collector LED illumination.
The binocular head is optimal for prolonged observations under the microscope, as it reduces fatigue visual. It can be rotated 360° around its axis; the end part of the optical tube is inclined at 30°. Wide-field eyepieces provide 10x magnification; the achromatic objectives are already installed on a nosepiece and equipped with 4x, 10x, 40x, and 100x magnification. The total magnification of the microscope therefore varies in a range between 40x and 1000x. The 40xs and 100xs lenses are equipped with a retractable spring mechanism to protect the front lens. The 100xs objective can be used for oil immersion.
The stage is equipped with a mechanical translator, under the stage there is an Abbe condenser with iris diaphragm and filter holder. Even lower is the lighting unit: an LED light with a collector. The brightness of the light is adjustable. Given the possibility of battery power, it is easy to use the microscope even away from a power outlet.
