MAGUS Metal D650 digital metallographic microscope - MAGUS
The MAGUS Metal 650 metallographic microscope is equipped with a large stage where you can place photomasks, printed circuit boards, integrated circuits and other long and wide samples to be examined in reflected light. Observations in bright field and polarized light are possible. The microscope provides high precision focusing. The fine focus value of 0.7 µm facilitates examination at high magnification. It is used to conduct research at industrial facilities and to train engineering students.

Digital camera
The MAGUS CBF30 digital camera allows you to take photographs and film short videos through a microscope, edit the resulting files, organize presentations and perform linear and angular measurements of objects (after proper calibration).
The device is designed to work on microscopes using the brightfield method and 4x objectives , 10x, 20x, and 40x.
The 6.3 MP sensor allows you to take bright, detailed photos and videos at a maximum resolution of 3072x2048 px. If necessary, the resolution can be reduced to 1536x1024 px. However, this will not affect the frame rate, which will remain at 59 fps, thus ensuring smooth frame transitions without stuttering or delays.
The color back-illuminated SONY Exmor CMOS sensor allows you to use the camera even in harsh conditions. of low light. The image will remain readable and bright. Using an adapter with 0.5x to 0.75x magnification will provide the clearest image possible, without distortion.
Optics
The Infinity planachromatic optics allow for sharp and well-detailed images. The microscope head is trinocular, inclined 30° and features a trinocular tube for mounting a digital camera. The camera (not included) captures photos and videos of the examined specimen and displays the microscope image on an external screen. There is a two-position beam splitter: 100:0 and 0:100. The light beam is aimed at the eyepiece or camera. On the left barrel there is a diopter adjustment ring.
It is possible to install the 5 objectives on the nosepiece, all included in the kit. To achieve greater magnification, optional lenses can be installed instead of the supplied ones. In the basic configuration, the microscope provides a magnification of 50 to 800x. The nosepiece is oriented towards the inside of the instrument, so that the user can see which objective is inserted in the optical path.
Illumination
The reflected light illumination system combines three centering elements: light source, field diaphragm and aperture. The 30W halogen illuminator emits a warm tone light that is easy on the eyes when used for long periods of time. You can adjust the brightness and you can set the Köhler lighting. The reflected light illumination system also features a polarization device: a built-in analyzer and a removable rotating polarizer. There is a set of colored filters.
Stage and focusing mechanism
The most interesting design element of the microscope is the 280x270 mm stage which can be moved along two axes up to 204 mm. This allows the observation of large samples and easy examination of their surfaces. The coarse and fine focus knobs are coaxial and positioned on both sides of the microscope, and feature a lock knob and a coarse tension adjustment knob. The handle is near the base of the microscope. You can freely place your hands on the table and have a comfortable position during observation.
Accessories
Accessories compatible with the MAGUS Metal 650 microscope include eyepieces, objectives with a long working distance, digital cameras and calibration slides. Accessories can be used to expand the capabilities of the microscope.
