It features a trinocular head. The eyepiece block is angled to prevent neck muscle strain during long hours of observations. The eyepiece tube for housing the digital camera (included) is oriented vertically. The kit includes two wide-field eyepieces with 10x magnification. The optical system includes two wide-field eyepieces with 4x, 10x, 40x and 100x magnifications. The front lenses of the 40x and 100x objectives are equipped with a protective retractable spring mechanism. Furthermore, the 100x objective can be used for oil immersion.
There is a mechanical translator for positioning slides. An intense LED light and a collecting lens are located at the bottom of the microscope. The brightness of the lighting is adjustable. The lighting system also includes an Abbe condenser with iris diaphragm that allows you to adjust the intensity of the light. It is possible to use optical filters with this microscope.
The digital camera (included) is accompanied by dedicated software. It allows you to edit previously saved images: enlarge them, crop them, change their contrast and brightness, and more.
Note: The mains voltage in the United States and Canada is 110 V, while in most European countries it is 220–240 V. For information regarding the correct mains voltage, see the specifications table. Never attempt to connect a 110V device to a 220V power outlet, or vice versa, without using a voltage converter.
Some of the things that can be observed under the microscope:
You can find these and many other interesting slides to observe under the microscope in the sets of Levenhuk prepared slides.
The Levenhuk D400T trinocular digital microscope is compatible with Levenhuk digital cameras(purchase separately). Levenhuk cameras are installed in the vertical tube, in place of an eyepiece.
