MAGUS Stereo 8B stereoscopic microscope - MAGUS
MAGUS Stereo 8B is a binocular stereoscopic microscope with a rotating head. Thanks to it, it is possible to work on three-dimensional samples. The microscope generates a three-dimensional image with a large depth of field and transmits an authentic image of the object. This allows you to perform the necessary manipulations on the object. The Greenough-type microscope with independent optical channels has a stereoscopic angle of 15° and the working area varies from 105 mm (basic configuration) up to 177 mm (optional). The basic observation methods with the device in transmitted and reflected light (bright field) can be complemented by the dark field method and simple polarization with accessories.

The microscope head includes two tubes and is completed with eyepieces with 10x magnification and a 22mm field of view. You can mount a digital camera on one of the tubes in place of an eyepiece. The head rotates around its axis and can be placed in any position.
The main magnification is provided by the zoom lens. Together with the smooth zoom, it adjusts the focal length of the optical system so that the object is always in focus. The MAGUS Stereo 8B microscope has a zoom ratio of 8.4:1. It is possible to change the magnification or field of view as well as adjust the working distance by means of auxiliary objective lenses.
The sharpness is adjustable by the coaxially positioned knobs, which adjust the fine and coarse focus. Fine focus is recommended for magnifications greater than 40x. The handles are on the sides of the stand. The user can adjust the stiffness of the coarse focus path.
You can use the microscope to observe transparent and opaque specimens. For this reason, the coffee table is equipped with two plates: one transparent and one black and white. The first is necessary for making observations in transmitted light conditions: The object receives soft and homogeneous illumination. The second plate is installed when using reflected light. The surface of the plate must be in contrast with the object.
The object is illuminated by two LED illuminators, transmitted and reflected light. Both have a power of 3 W with a lifespan of 50,000 hours.
This line of microscopes is completed with a wide range of accessories. The user can purchase the necessary auxiliary eyepieces and objective lenses to adjust the magnification, field of view and working distance. Complete the set with a digital camera to capture observations or view them on a large screen. Together with a camera or an eyepiece with a graduated scale, a calibration slide can be used to measure a sample or its individual elements. For effective observation of a sample, there are several types of illuminators: a classic ring illuminator, a ring illuminator with a polarizer for studying smooth metal objects (removes reflections), a ring illuminator with control of sector to adjust the correct incidence of light and shadow, and a flexible neck illuminator that can be aimed at a specific point. To install the microscope head in the optimal position, you can select a correct holder. Placing the object on the mechanical stage allows it to be moved along the two axes in a fluid and regular manner. For polarized light or dark field observations, it is possible to equip the microscope with a dark field condenser and a polarization device. If you use the condenser with a gem clip, the stereoscopic microscope becomes an excellent tool for jewelry work.
