MAGUS Stereo 8T stereoscopic microscope - MAGUS

The stereoscopic microscope is designed to observe volumetric samples and study their structural characteristics. Produces object volume and surface relief. The MAGUS Stereo 8T model features integrated illuminators for transparent and opaque samples. Available options include dark field and polarized light methods (only with additional accessories).
The Greenough optical scheme features two independent optical channels. The visualization of the magnified object is as if it were through human eyes. This optical scheme reproduces an authentic and sharp 3D image thanks to the stereoscopic angle of 15°. The image of the object is enlarged without altering its position in space, allowing for practical manipulation of the same. The model is suitable for restoration work, welding, assembly and checking compliance with quality standards of samples, etc.

The microscope head includes two eyepiece tubes and a separate tube for the camera. Another feature of the head is the rotary mechanism, which can be locked in any position up to a 360° rotation. The eyepieces with a magnification of 10x and a field of view of 22 mm are equipped with a diopter adjustment mechanism and a long eyepiece extension that is practical for those who wear glasses. You can change the zoom or field of view of the camera via a C-mount adapter equipped with its own magnifying lenses.

The lens changes the magnification and focal length simultaneously, keeping the object always in focus . The zoom ratio is 8.4:1. The object appears in the same position as it is on the table. Auxiliary objectives change the magnification or field of view and affect the working distance of the microscope.

The MAGUS Stereo 8T model features a coarse and fine focusing system. The relevant knobs are located on the same axis on both sides of the stand. Fine focus is useful when working at high magnifications. The user can adjust the stiffness of the coarse focus path.

The characteristics of the specimen determine the choice of microscope stage plate. A transparent plate is used to observe samples in transmitted light. With it, the lighting is soft and uniform. An opaque black and white plate is suitable for reflected light observations. The object placed on it must be contrasting.

The object is illuminated by LED illuminators, light transmitted or reflected by oblique light. Both illuminators have a power of 3 W with a lifespan of 50,000 hours.

The advantage of this line of microscopes is the rich range of additional components. The model can be equipped with eyepieces or auxiliary objective lenses, a digital camera and other accessories for observation according to the dark field method or in polarized light. Different types of illuminators will direct the light according to the user's needs making observation more efficient. A range of supports will allow you to position the microscope head in the desired position.
