The MAGUS Bio 240B educational microscope is designed for professional training. Thanks to it, it is possible to make observations in transmitted light via the bright field method and to study translucent and transparent biological samples. The microscope is equipped with a nosepiece coded to accommodate four objectives with intelligent illumination. Brightness is adjustable for each lens. The device is compact and practical to move and store.
The head is designed to house two eyepieces and adopts the infinity optical system. The head tubes can rotate completely on their axis and the eye relief is adjusted according to the user's height. The microscope features 2 standard 10x/20mm eyepieces. The set also includes rubber eyecups for those who wear glasses: the cups act as a layer between the glasses lenses and the eyepieces, as well as protecting the lenses from abrasions, scratches and damage. Each tube is equipped with a diopter adjustment ring: the focus can be adjusted to suit the user's vision. This feature will be especially useful for researchers with different vision as each eyepiece can be adjusted independently. If there is a need to connect a digital camera to the microscope, it can be placed on one of the two tubes after removing an eyepiece.
The nosepiece has slots for four objectives. The nosepiece is oriented inward. The researcher has the objective used in front of him, while the other objectives are at a certain distance. The advantage of this setup is the large work area available to the user. As lenses change, light intensity normally fluctuates, creating eye strain and fatigue. To avoid this unpleasant effect, the MAGUS Bio 240B microscope is equipped with an intelligent light control system: the user adjusts the brightness of each objective once, and when changing objectives, the light changes automatically. This way the user does not have to waste time adjusting the brightness when changing each objective.
The microscope is equipped with a focusing system with fine and coarse adjustment knobs positioned coaxially. They are positioned low on the body and on the sides of the stand, allowing the user a comfortable position when checking focus. On the left, the coarse focus handle allows you to quickly adjust the image after changing lenses. On the right, a ring allows you to adjust the stiffness of the coarse focus path to suit your needs.
The stage is equipped with a belt mechanism, which allows you to smoothly move the sample under the objectives.
The Abbe condenser is fixed under the stage as well as centered and is factory preset in the correct vertical position. The user does not have to spend time and effort installing and configuring the capacitor. The capacitor has a numerical aperture of 1.25. Its handle is used to adjust the iris diaphragm. The magnification values of the objective are marked in color on the condenser. To produce the image with excellent contrast, it is necessary to set the position of the handle according to the objective used.
The microscope operates in transmitted light. A 3W LED light is installed as an illuminator. It is possible to adjust the color temperature from 3000 K to 7000 K, thus adjusting the illumination to the characteristics of the studied object. The illuminator has a life of 50,000 hours.
Another positive feature of this model is the LCD screen, which displays the operating parameters: active lens magnification, illumination temperature and mode operational.
It is possible to move the microscope using the side handles. The device is designed so that the cable and power supply can be hidden on the back of the body. The device therefore presents a pleasant aesthetic and is practical to transport and store.
